Later he changed his occupation, carrying on a bakery. Married Barbara Ehrenhard of Emmaus, Jan. 10, 1808. Of his seven children, six survived their father: Lisetta Louisa, Mary Ann Theodora, Elfrida Caroline (married Francis Miksch), Julianna Emilie (married Gustav A. Kern), Henrietta Cecilia (married Harvey Bates), and Alfred Henry (a prominent member of the Schoeneck congregation). Moved from Nazareth to Christiansbrunn in 1793 (Nazareth Single Brethren's Diary).
